Joining the Green Party isn’t something to be taken lightly. If you share a concern that the Federal Government isn’t doing enough to make sure all Canadians can have an equal chance for a secure and fulfilling future, then it is worth considering membership. If you are tired of the way politics has descended to a “pot calling the kettle black” circus in parliament and an endless succession of mismanagement, cronyism and changes of direction, then support of the Green Party will show the existing parties that “shift” is happening!

We accept the short term reality that it is hard to elect a new member in Niagara West Glanbrook, but that doesn’t make a vote for Green a wasted vote – it sends a clear message to the government that they aren’t performing while at the same time generates needed funding from Elections Canada to help the Green Party in the next election.

Ø The Green Party’s platform is a unified approach to Canada’s challenges and has been fully costed and examined by a team of external economic experts.
Ø Tax shifting, carbon taxes and carbon cap and trade schemes have been adopted by other countries in the G20 and are working. The economic “disaster” scenarios trumpeted by the old-style parties is fear mongering, and simply puts off the day when we will have to move towards sustainability, while at the same time ensuring the consequences will be more severe than if we act now.
